Garden Studios in Caterham, Surrey

The Holt Studio is an ultra-modern garden studio with a sleek pent roof and two walls of glazing that offer unhindered views of your garden while you relax inside. It also has a veranda as part of its design, which can be extended to the side up to 3.0m if you are looking for both indoor and outdoor space to make the most of. Our customer opted for our 3.6 x 3.6m size, which includes a 0.6m veranda to the front and side of the luxury garden studio. The design of this Holt Studio has been altered slightly to meet the needs of our customer by having two sets of double doors. Its pent roof is covered in heavy-duty felt, which we apply with a propane torch to increase its longevity, and guttering has been fitted too. The exterior is clad with shiplap, which gives a smooth surface finish, and is painted in a two-tone fashion using Farrow & Ball’s rich and fully opaque paint system. The main colour our customer has chosen for their garden studio is Green Smoke, with underneath the roof overhang and the “Cheeks” (the two exterior walls that connect the roof overhang and the veranda) painted in Pigeon for a subtle contrast.

To enable this luxury garden studio to be used comfortably throughout the year, the Holt comes fully insulated, lined, and double glazed. Our customer has also chosen to have electrics installed so that their Holt Studio could be supplied with power and lighting. To finish the interior look of this insulated garden studio, the walls are lined with Ivory painted matchboard and a natural lacquer has been applied to the floor, which will give the floor a nice sheen while also offering protection to the timber.
