Quality Garden Offices

Garden offices are a great choice for those who work remotely, including freelancers and small business owners. Increasingly popular in an era of working from home, a quality garden office is the perfect way to maintain a healthy work-life balance while investing in your property. Read More

Why we recommend choosing a made to order garden office vs pre-made

Choosing an ‘off the shelf’ garden office will mean that you’re limited in terms of size, design, aesthetic and build quality. A customised option offers flexibility in the design, layout and aesthetic to your own preferences and lifestyle. With a Crane Garden Building garden office, you can choose your size, layout, roof covering and many other important details such as placement of windows and doors and the addition of any interior partitions.

Each property, person and lifestyle is different, and your garden office should be a reflection of that. Whether you need added Velux windows to maximise natural light, or an additional partition wall for seamless storage, that’s what you’ll be able to factor in when you choose a quality garden building as opposed to one that is pre-made.

Benefits of a garden office

Enhanced productivity and focus

A quality garden office provides a dedicated, quiet, and comfortable workspace away from the distractions of the main house. With a separate environment tailored for work, you’ll be able to focus better, leading to increased productivity and efficiency. The amenities and custom design elements create an inspiring atmosphere conducive to creativity and concentration.

Improved work-life balance

Having your own office that isn't inside your home allows you to establish clear boundaries between work and home life. Enjoy the flexibility of working from home while still maintaining a separation between your professional and personal spaces. This separation promotes a healthier work-life balance, reducing stress and enhancing overall wellbeing.

Convenience and versatility

Quality garden offices offer the convenience of a short commute from the home to the workspace, eliminating the need for long and tiring journeys to an external office. This saves time and money, as well as reducing the environmental impact of commuting. Additionally, they provide flexibility in terms of work hours and schedules, allowing you to tailor your work environment to suit your preferences and optimise your workflow.

FAQs

Any investment into your property is worth the money, and adding a garden office will also improve your working and home life, which is invaluable.

In most cases, planning permission is not required for garden offices, as they fall under ‘permitted development’. However, there may be certain size and location conditions to meet.
