Everyone has dreamt of having their very own quaint little log cabin nestled between the trees. However, this is something you can easily create in your garden. Our garden cabins come in various sizes and styles, and they can serve many purposes, from a tranquil retreat to a full-functioning home office. They are designed to fit the aesthetics of your outdoor area and offer additional living or working space without having to alter the main house.
What is a garden cabin?
A garden cabin is a standalone structure located within your garden. Traditionally constructed using timber, they can come in a number of different styles, designs and sizes. Functioning as more than just additional storage space, modern garden cabins offer the perfect blend of comfort and practicality for a multitude of uses from hobby room to garden office to a relaxing retreat.
Why have a garden cabin?
You might choose to invest in a garden cabin for many different reasons, but the overarching reason is that you have a need to create additional indoor space to what you already have in your home. It provides an attractive solution above more invasive options like an extension. You will have the ability to choose and customise the style of the building that best suits your home and outdoor space to create something special and unique to you.
The benefits of a garden cabin
Additional living space
Garden cabins act as an ideal solution for those seeking extra living space without opting for a costly - and disruptive - home extension. Whether you need a cosy garden office, a dedicated hobby area or a tranquil space for relaxation, they cater to these needs with elegance and convenience.
Versatility
The garden cabin itself is a structure that provides a warm and dry environment to do whatever you like. From a home gym to a workshop, a studio or a children's playroom, they are highly versatile and can fulfill multiple uses. It could even serve all of these purposes in its lifetime which is what makes them a valuable asset to have. They can be customised to suit your specific needs, reflecting your personal style while fulfilling functional requirements.
Property value
Adding any garden building to your property is not just about gaining space. It's also an investment. It can enhance the appeal of your property to potential buyers, contributing to an increase in value. A garden cabin creates a versatile space which may be attractive to potential buyers especially if it frees up additional space within the home.
Cost-effective
Offering a more cost-effective alternative to traditional home extensions or renovations, not to mention far less stressful. By choosing a cabin for your garden, you're opting for a cost-efficient method to expand your living space and enhance your property. Our garden cabins are made at our headquarters and broken down into parts ready for delivery and installation. This makes the installation phase a lot quicker, and you will have a finished, ready-to-use building by the end of the process.
Aesthetic appeal
Whether you choose a modern or more traditional style, it instantly elevates the look of your garden. We offer come a variety of designs and styles, allowing you to select a cabin that blends with the existing landscape and architecture of your property. You will have the ability to customise your building from the roofing material to the cladding to the exterior and interior paint colour so your garden cabin is exactly how you imagined it to be.

FAQs
All of our prices include delivery and installation (UK mainland only) by our experienced and professional fitting team.
While garden cabins often fall under 'permitted development' rules in the UK, there may be exceptions depending on the size, location and intended use of the cabin. We recommend checking with your local council or planning authority to confirm any specific requirements, or read our guide to planning permission.
The size of your garden cabin depends on the space available in your garden, your intended use for the cabin, and your personal preferences.
It's important to consider both the internal space needed for comfort and the external dimensions to ensure it fits appropriately within your garden layout.
The placement of your garden cabin depends on factors such as sunlight exposure, ground condition and personal preference. Typically, it's best to place it in a spot where it receives plenty of natural light but is also protected from extreme weather. You should always install a garden building atop a firm, level base, which is something we can help you with should you need it.
Yes, our garden cabins are highly customisable. We offer a variety of styles, sizes and optional features, allowing you to tailor your cabin to your specific needs and preferences.
Yes, we offer both insulated and non-insulated garden cabins. For year-round comfort, insulation is recommended, especially if you plan to use the garden cabin as a home office or hobby room. Insulation helps maintain a stable temperature within the cabin, keeping it warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
One of the key things we discuss with customers prior to installation is the importance of a flat, level base for us to install on to. It may seem insignificant, but it is actually a crucial part of installation, with just 5mm being the difference between having a problem-free building or one that is fraught with issues. Find out more about garden building bases.
We can provide an electrical pack as an add-on, so we can set everything up in the building to run off electricity. You will just need to arrange the final connection to the house yourself.
While we don’t offer plumbing services, we can add the necessary partitions into your building design to allow you or your plumber to add what you need post-installation.
