The customer’s garden is very long, lined with trees and an old brick wall, and the summerhouse has been placed next to the wall, close to the back of the house.
The summerhouse consists of a set of double doors in the front with windows in them, and four more windows around the building, so the customer will have several good vantage points of their garden while they sit inside and enjoy the view.
This Lavenham has been painted in the National Trust paint colour, Terrace Green. Terrace Green is the darkest green paint colour we offer in the National Trust range, but it is a good, natural green that fits in very nicely with the other greens of the grass and trees in the customer’s garden.
There is a black corrugated material on the roof, black cast iron door and window furniture, and the cladding on the summerhouse is vertical; all of these features are traditional features taken from National Trust property outbuildings in East Anglia.
The Lavenham is one of four summerhouses in the National Trust range, along with four garden sheds. They all have slightly different designs to cater for our customers’ differing tastes; however, they all come with the corrugated roofing material, cast iron door furniture and vertical cladding to follow in the lines of the traditional outbuilding design.
If you would like a National Trust Summerhouse or Garden Shed, you can come visit one of our eight-show centres across the country to see what the buildings actually look like; you will be able to speak to our capable sales staff here as well.
