Summerhouses in Whitby, North Yorkshire

The Thornham is a traditionally styled summerhouse with modern design elements. It has a contemporary style pent roof that features an overhang and classically designed ¾ glazed doors and windows. It is available in a range of sizes, with our customer opting for a Thornham measuring 1.8 x 2.4m. The roof of this pent roof summerhouse is covered in heavy-duty felt, and our customer has opted for plain windows, but you can have leaded or Georgian style windows if that is what you would prefer. Guttering has also been fitted, which will collect rainwater runoff from the roof and deposit it away from the building to protect the bottom boards. This wooden summer house is shiplap clad and treated with a light oak preservative as standard, which is the option our customer has opted for. The Thornham can be clad with rustic-cut weatherboard and painted in either our Exterior Paint System or from a specially selected range of Farrow & Ball colours.

Internally, this pent roof summerhouse comes unlined, making it the ideal building to read a good book while sipping on a cooling drink during the warmer months of the year. If you would prefer to have a year-round use summerhouse, we are able to fully line and insulate the Thornham, and add electrics and a heater for further comfort. Our customer has opted to add full insulation and natural matchboard lining to their Thornham, as well as double glazing. Just like the exterior, the interior of the Thornham can also be painted. You can have the walls and ceiling of your insulated summer house lined in Ivory painted matchboard or you can choose from 8 Farrow & Ball interior colours for an alternative look.
