We have installed one of our Summerhouses in Westerham, Kent for a customer wanting a year-round use space in their garden. Our customer opted for our Thornham Summerhouse as they liked its pent roof design. As all of our garden summerhouses are made to order, our customer’s Thornham was tailored to their requirements using our wide range of interior and exterior design options. It was designed by our CAD engineers before being hand-crafted from FSC® certified timber by skilled craftsmen inside our Norfolk factory. Our installations team then delivered and installed the summerhouse at our customer’s address. We include delivery and installation by our experts in the price of all our garden buildings as part of our end-to-end service.

Our Thornham Summerhouse is a pent roof summerhouse that features an attractive roof overhang. It is available in many different sizes so you can choose the size that best fits your outdoor space. Our customer’s outdoor summerhouse measures 1.8 x 3.0m. It has a set of double doors and two fixed windows to the front, with an additional double opening window set installed on both sides. The roof is covered in EPDM rubber roofing and the windows are made using toughened safety glass. The exterior of this garden summerhouse is clad with shiplap, giving it a smooth surface finish. The Thornham is an unpainted summerhouse as standard but as our customer wanted a summerhouse delivered and installed with a painted finish, they upgraded to Sage from our Exterior Paint System.

The Thornham Summerhouse is an unlined summerhouse, making it ideal for use during the warmer months of the year. However, our customer wanted a year-round use space so we were able to tailor the design of this garden summerhouse to have full insulation, lining and double glazing for comfort in every season. The walls are lined with natural matchboarding and a natural lacquer has been applied to the floor, which will help to protect the timber while also giving it a nice sheen. Our customer has also opted to have an electric pack with a heater installed, which will ensure the outdoor summerhouse can be supplied with power, lighting and warmth.
