2.4 x 1.8m Blakeney Summerhouse painted in Exterior Verdigris with apex roof design and smooth shiplap cladding

We have installed one of our Blakeney Summerhouses in Ilkeston, Derbyshire for a customer wanting a small summerhouse where they can sit and admire their garden from during the warmer months of the year. This Blakeney Summerhouse was designed to our customer’s specifications by our CAD engineers before being hand-crafted from FSC® certified timber by skilled craftsmen inside our factory at our Norfolk HQ. The wooden summerhouse was then delivered and installed at our customer’s address by our expert installations team, which we include in the price of all our buildings as part of our end-to-end service.

The Blakeney Summerhouse is a chalet-style summerhouse. It has an apex roof design that features a charming overhang. It is available in a wide range of sizes, with our customer opting for our 2.4 x 1.8m size, which is the smallest standard size we make the Blakeney in. There are fixed windows placed on either side of the double doors to the front of the building, and on both sides of the wooden summerhouse, our customer has opted to have top opening windows installed. Our customer has also chosen to have grey slate effect tiles covering the roof and smooth shiplap for the exterior cladding, painted in Verdigris from our Exterior Paint System.

The Blakeney Summerhouse is an unlined building as standard, making it the ideal building to relax with a good book and a cooling drink during the warmer months of the year. If you like the look of the Blakeney, but require a year-round use building, we are able to add insulation and lining to the floor, walls, and ceiling to ensure comfort in every season. We can install electrics and a heater in our wooden summerhouses if required too. We also have two flooring options for you to choose from if you would like to upgrade from our standard floorboards. You could opt for one of our four engineered flooring colours or you can choose to have either a natural or light oak lacquer applied. Our customer chose to have a light oak lacquer applied to their floor, which will help to protect the timber while also giving it a nice sheen.
