The Salthouse is a modern-style studio with a pent roof, roof overhang, and fully glazed doors and windows, offering an unhindered view of the garden for whoever sits inside. It is the ideal solution to working from home for our customer, who is struggling for space inside their house.
This Studio is fully suited to year-round use, as it has got full insulation and solid pine, Ivory painted matchboard lining internally, and the doors and windows are double glazed as standard. The customer also chose to have an electric pack to provide heat and light throughout the year.
Internally, the customer chose to have engineered flooring laid; they chose the colour Shade Oak, which sits on top of the floorboards, with underlay in between, and therefore enhances the insulating and sound absorbing qualities of the building further.
Our heavy duty felt has been laid on the roof: this is heat-bonded on to increase its longevity, and the Studio has been painted in Card Room Green, which is one of the colours from Farrow & Ball’s exterior eggshell range.
This customer’s garden office has been finished off with chrome door and window furniture to add to the modern feel of the building.
