3.0 x 3.0m Salthouse Studio in Heacham, Norfolk

This luxury garden studio has been installed for a couple based in the seaside town of Heacham, Norfolk. Our customers were after a building where both of them could work on their crafts and paintings so to get an idea of what style of buildings they liked, they visited us at our HQ in Narford, Norfolk. They opted for our Salthouse Studio as it would allow plenty of natural light inside. Like all of our garden buildings, it was designed to order and hand-crafted from FSC® certified timber inside our Norfolk factory before being delivered and assembled at our customer’s address by our in-house installation experts.

Our Salthouse Studio is available in more than 25 different standard sizes, with this one measuring 3.0 x 3.0m. It has a pent roof covered in heavy-duty roofing felt, which is also lined with guttering that will collect excess rainwater and deposit it away from the building to help protect the bottom boards from premature rotting. The exterior of the building has a smooth finish, thanks to the shiplap cladding, and it is painted in Slate, a dark grey colour from our fully opaque and weather-resistant exterior paint system.

One of the main design features of this Salthouse Studio is the floor-to-ceiling length glass panels that are fitted along the entirety of the front elevation, with two additional panels on the side of the building. This is to give a light and airy feel to the inside of the building. It has also been fitted with a fanlight window in the back for ventilation purposes. All of the windows on this building are made using 4mm toughened safety glass and they are double glazed for additional comfort.

This 3.0 x 3.0m studio has been fully lined and insulated to ensure our customers can use it throughout every season. An electric pack has also been fitted to enable the building to be supplied with power and lighting. The matchboard lining on the internal walls has been painted in the colour Ivory which is contrasted nicely by the natural lacquer applied to the floor.
