A hipped roof increases the internal height of the building, giving a lofty feel that will make the room feel bigger than it really is. Grey slate effect tiles have been used on the roof, which are an attractive and highly durable material.
Internally, there is full insulation, solid pine matchboard lining painted in Ivory for a light, bright feel, an electric pack with a heater to supply light and power, and the windows are all double glazed. This means that the customer will be able to use their garden retreat all through the year, not just in the summer months.
The customer chose engineered flooring inside, in the colour Heritage Oak to give a rustic feel. The engineered flooring gets laid on top of the floorboards of the building, with underlay to separate the two and helps to provide further insulating and sound absorbing benefits.
Georgian windows and weatherboard cladding externally create a more traditional, rustic feel to the outside of the building that suits the customer’s garden very nicely.
The paint colour the customer chose for their building is Sandstone, a pale neutral colour from our Exterior paint range.
