Made to order in our Norfolk factory, the customer very specifically only wanted double doors and no windows. Double doors will allow them easy access to get tools and larger machinery, such as a lawn mower, out of the shed, and they chose to have no windows because they will not be spending time inside the shed, and it will keep the items safer and away from prying eyes.
The pent roof allowed the customer to not need to apply for planning permission, as it keeps the building to below 2.5m in height. Our heavy duty felt has been used to cover the roof, which is heat-bonded on to increase its longevity.
To keep the customer’s storage items safe inside their shed, they chose to have our security pack. This consists of a seven-lever lock and heavy duty sliding bolt, as well as security screws in the door hinges, which are impossible to unscrew. If they had made windows a part of their design, the security pack would also have provided stainless steel security bars.
Shiplap cladding gives the exterior of the shed a smooth finish, and for a touch of style, the customer also chose to have a roof overhang over the double doors, which will also help to shield the front of the shed from excess rainfall.
This Superior has been finished in our Sikkens exterior stain in the colour Grey. Sikkens is an attractive stain that gives the timber colour, while also allowing the grain of the wood underneath to shine through to enhance the natural beauty.
