The Salthouse is 3.6 x 4.2m in size, so it will be plenty big enough for the customer to decorate as they wish, and they will be able to have many people inside it at one time, perfect for family gatherings with squishy furnishings and maybe even a pool table.
The pent roof has got a heavy duty felt coating, which is a thick, durable and waterproof material. The roof slopes towards the back to allow rainwater to run off the back, protecting the front of the building, and there is also black guttering across the back wall to catch rainwater.
The studio has been painted in Slate paint, a lovely colour that really suits the customer’s garden.
To provide an unhindered view of their garden, the whole of the front side of the Salthouse is floor-length glass, with a window on both gable ends, double doors on the front right, and four more windows to the left of the doors. As well as the wall of glass windows, there are also two fanlight windows high up on the back wall to help with ventilation.
Internally, there is painted matchboard lining on the walls, insulation in the floor, walls and ceiling, a heavy duty floor with a natural lacquer on it and an electrical pack with a heater. All of these features mean that the building is perfectly suited for year round use; it will even be cosy enough to use in the dead of winter.
