Burnham Studio in Bicester, Oxfordshire

Our customer based in Upper Heyford/Bicester, Oxfordshire, wanted this large studio installed in their garden as a space to home their hot tub as well as somewhere they could relax and unwind with all the family. They chose our Burnham Studio as they wanted a garden studio that encompassed both modern and traditional design features. Our customer had very specific requirements for their garden studio so they worked with one of our sales advisors at our Burford show site to help them narrow down what features they wanted before it was then passed on to our CAD engineers at our Narford HQ to design it and our skilled craftsmen at our Norfolk factory to hand-make it to order. It was then delivered and assembled at the address of our customer by our expert installers from our in-house installations team.

From 1.8 x 2.4m to 4.8 x 6.0m, we make our Burnham Studios in a range of standardised sizing, but we are also able to make more tailor-made sizes like we have with this 3.6 x 8.4m one. The Burnham comes with a fully glazed front elevation as standard which will lend a light and airy feel inside the building. They also come fitted with fanlight windows to help with ventilation. On this particular studio the floor-to-ceiling window panels have been extended to the partitioned section and there are three fanlight windows in total that sit on the back wall. It has an apex roof which this customer has chosen to cover with cedar shingle tiles and shiplap timber cladding painted in the colour Ash from our exterior paint system.

Internally, both sections of this large studio are fully lined with insulation in the walls, ceiling and floor to ensure a comfortable use throughout every season. It has Ivory painted matchboard lining on the walls and our engineered floorboards in the shade Copenhagen on the floor, which is also heavy duty to allow for the weight of the hot tub to be supported. This customer has also chosen to add an electric pack to ensure their building is supplied with power and lighting and they’ve also opted for heaters to be added in both sides.
