2.4 x 4.2m Salthouse Studio Painted in Slate with Roof Overhang

This stunning 2.4 x 4.2m Salthouse was recently installed in Welwyn, Hertfordshire for customers in search of a stylish garden studio that they could use as a home office. Designed and manufactured in-house at our Norfolk HQ, this beautiful garden building was made using FSC© Certified Scandinavian Redwood, which is sourced ethically and sustainably from our partnering timber mill in Sweden. As with all of our installations, the Salthouse was delivered and installed by our professional, friendly and experienced fitting team.

Externally, the office features a pent roof covered with our torched-on heavy-duty felt, which overhangs slightly to give the entrance some protection from the elements. Guttering has also been added, which will ensure any rainwater runs straight off the building and into the stoned area surrounding the concrete base, where it can safely drain away. The building features smooth shiplap cladding and several full-height windows which means our customers can enjoy panoramic views and plenty of natural light, which is essential in any workspace. There is also an opening window included as standard in this design which ensures adequate ventilation and fresh air. The single access door was configured to open outwards and is finished with polished-brass furniture.

Inside, our customers will benefit from full insulation and lining, double glazing and an electrical pack. As a home office, all of these factors are essential as they allow for comfortable year-round use, no matter the temperature or visibility. Despite the pent roof shape, the building boasts an interior height of 2 metres or 6.5ft. Taking its name from the charming coastal village local to our HQ, the Salthouse is a contemporary garden building designed with versatility in mind.
