National Trust - Ickworth Summerhouse with Roof Overhang

A traditional garden shed from the National Trust range of sheds and summerhouses, the Ickworth is a charming model with double doors and leaded windows. It has an apex roof with slight overhang and rustic timber cladding.

This National Trust Ickworth Summerhouse has been installed in our customer’s garden in Petersfield, Hampshire. The Ickworth will be a lovely garden retreat for our customer, who will be able to use it to relax in and enjoy their garden from. As with all of our garden buildings, our team of expert craftsmen delivered and installed it free of charge.

The Ickworth has a roof overhang that helps to shade the front of the summerhouse and helps to bring a chalet style to the building. Other features on this summerhouse include vertical sawn boards for the cladding, two opening windows, a corrugated roofing material, leaded glass and cast iron door and window furniture in a Fleur-de-Leys style.

To help the building blend in well with the customer’s garden, Terrace Green was the colour of choice (the darkest green) and so her summerhouse was painted accordingly. This deep shade complemented the black cast-iron roof and door furniture, creating an elegant look that still felt associated with nature.
