The pent roof on this Flatford was a preferred design choice on the customer’s part, to allow her to have an unimposing garden building that would also not require her to apply for Planning Permission.
The customer preferred the National Trust Summerhouses, as they are very traditional in style, and that will go very well with her country garden.
The traditional features of this Flatford include a corrugated sheeting on the roof, vertical sawn boards for the external cladding that have been roughly sawn, leaded windows, and black cast iron door and window furniture in the Fleur-de-leys style.
The paint the customer chose was Disraeli Green, which is a very pale green colour from our National Trust paint range.
The National Trust range are fixed designs, so if you like the look of this Flatford, you can build your own using our Online Garden Building Planner Tool.
If you want something a bit more tailor-made, we have our own range of Summerhouses that may be more suited to your needs.
If you would like any help on which summerhouse to choose, you can call us on 01760 444229 or come and visit our Newbury Show Centre: they will be able to answer your questions and show you around our buildings.
