Greenhouse in Newbury, Berkshire

1.8 x 2.4m Greenhouse painted in Cream from our exterior paint system

This traditional yet attractive Greenhouse was installed in Newbury, Berkshire for a customer who wanted to try their hand at growing and nurturing exotic plants. As they lived not far from our Newbury show site, they popped in to take a look at our display buildings and, with the help of our friendly advisors, decided that one of our 1.8 x 2.4m Greenhouses would be the perfect fit for their garden. Like all of our garden buildings, it was designed by our CAD engineers and hand-made to order by the skilled craftsmen we employ in our factory in Narford, Norfolk. It was then delivered and assembled at our customer’s address by members of our installations team, who are the experts in making sure that our buildings are installed to meet the high standards we pride ourselves on.

Our customer chose our Greenhouse as they liked its traditional and elegant look. The design of our Greenhouse is inspired by the Victorian era, with a durable timber frame and an abundance of glazing. The frame is made using FSC® certified timber that is machined from Scandinavian Redwood grown close to the Arctic Circle and the windows are made using 4mm toughened safety glass.

To help your plants have a temperature-controlled climate to grow in, our Greenhouses are fitted with two automatically opening roof vents, with one of either side of the roof. They are designed to open when it gets too warm to help ventilate the room inside. To add further practicality to the Greenhouse, our customer has opted to have one of our oak faced plywood workbenches installed. This will allow them to have more room to tend to their plants, as well as additional space for storage.

When you have one of our Greenhouses installed, you will have a choice of two different paint systems to choose from; a selection of colours from Farrow & Ball or our exterior paint system. Our customer opted for our exterior paint system, selecting the colour Cream, which is a lovely neutral toned colour. Our exterior paint system is a fully opaque, weather resistant range that is applied in four coats to give a high-quality finish.

Our customer opted for the smallest size Greenhouse we make, but they are also available in sizes 1.8 x 3.0m, 2.4 x 3.0m and 3.0 x 3.6m.
