This small 8 x 6ft Summerhouse is one of our Blakeney Summerhouses, installed for a customer wanting somewhere from which they can enjoy their garden during the summer while sitting and relaxing. Our customer chose the Blakeney Summerhouse as they like its more traditional chalet-style design. It was hand-crafted to order from FSC® certified timber inside our factory at our Norfolk HQ before being delivered and assembled at our customer’s address by our installations team. We include delivery and installation by our experts in the overall price of our buildings as part of the end-to-end service we offer our customers.
The 8 x 6ft (2.4 x 1.8m) size is the smallest size we make our Blakeney, but they are also available in a range of standard sizes, all the way up to 16 x 20ft (4.8 x 6.0m). The Blakeney Summerhouse has an apex roof design that features a charming overhang above the double doors in the gable. As well as the double doors, there are also two fixed windows in the gable and there are additional windows on either side of this summerhouse: with the one on the left-hand side being an opening window. All the windows are made using 4mm toughened safety glass.
The roof of this customer’s Blakeney Summerhouse has been lined with heavy duty felt. This is our standard roof covering and it is an extreme wear, non-rip material. We apply this felt to our buildings with a propane torch as this increases its longevity. To give the building a smooth finish, our customer has opted for shiplap cladding which has been painted in Lizard, a green-toned colour from our Exterior Paint System. The inside of this building is unlined as standard, making it the ideal warm weather retreat.
Whether you want a building to sit and relax in during the summer months or you are in need of a hobby room or an office space to enable you to work from home, our Blakeney Summerhouse can be tailored to your needs. The inside of the building is unlined as standard, but it can be fitted with full internal lining, insulation, double glazing, electrics, and heating.
