8 x 10ft Holkham Summerhouse in Light Oak

This 8 x 10ft Summerhouse is one of our Holkham Summerhouses, and it has been delivered and installed in the garden of one of our customers by our expert installations team, which is included as part of our end-to-end service.

The Holkham is part of our summerhouse collection within our vast range of garden buildings, and like all of our other buildings, it has been designed and hand-made-to-order by the skilled craftsmen and women inside our Norfolk factory, using FSC® certified timber machined from trees grown in Northern Europe.   

Our Holkham Summerhouses are available in a range of sizes, from 6 x 8ft to 16 x 20ft and plenty of sizes in between. This particular summerhouse measures 8 x 10ft. It has windows in three out of the four sides, as well as in the double door, which affords a light and airy feel inside as plenty of natural light is able to shine through. There is a total of six windows, four of which are opening, and they are all made using 4mm toughened safety glass. It also has an apex roof which this customer has chosen to cover with cedar shingle roof tiles, which are designed to turn a silver/grey colour over time as they naturally weather. 

The outside of the building has been cladded using our thick shiplap timber boards, which lends a smooth finish to the exterior. To give it a more traditional look, the timber has been treated with a Light Oak Preservative, which will protect it from fungi and woodworm while also giving it a nice sheen. 

The interior of our Holkham comes unlined as standard, making the building suitable for use purely as a summertime retreat, but this customer has chosen to add insulation to the floor for some additional comfort inside.
