12 x 10ft Painted Blakeney Summerhouse

This 12 x 10ft Painted Summerhouse has been installed for a customer in need of a building that they could use as both a home office and a relaxing garden retreat. They opted for our Blakeney Summerhouse as they liked its chalet style look and feel. It was designed and hand-made to order inside the factory at our HQ in Narford, Norfolk before being delivered and assembled onsite at our customer’s address by our expert installations team. Like all of our garden buildings, delivery and installation was included in the price of this Blakeney, which we offer as part of our end-to-end service.

Our Blakeney Summerhouses are available in a variety of sizes, from 8 x 6ft to 16 x 20ft. This particular summerhouse measures 12 x 10ft and it has an apex roof that features a charming overhang. It has windows made from 4mm toughed safety glass in three out of the four sides, as well as in the double doors, which are all doubled glazed and chalet in style. This will allow for more natural light inside as well as enhancing the chalet feel inside.

To customise their building, our customer has chosen to have the roof covered with terracotta slate effect tiles, which are individually laid and provide the roof with protection against UV rays, wind and hail. The roof tiles contrast with the colour painted on the shiplap cladding, which is the green-toned shade of Lizard from our exterior paint system. Our exterior paint system is a fully opaque, weather resistant paint system that is applied in four coats to give a high-quality finish.

As our customer wanted a building that they could use all year round, they have opted to have the inside fully lined and insulated to ensure that it remains comfortable for use in every season. The matchboard lining on the walls has been painted in the colour Ivory, which is complemented nicely by the Heritage Oak engineered floorboards that have been laid on the floor. Our customer has also opted to add on an electrical pack to their building in order to supply it with power and lighting.
