14 x 24ft Salthouse Studio in Slate

This 14 x 24ft Studio has been installed in the garden of a customer in need of a large garden office. Our customer opted for our Salthouse Studio as they liked its modern and contemporary design. Once the type of building had been selected, our CAD engineers were able to draw up the manufacturing plans to meet our customer’s exact specification before it was hand-made to order by our team of skilled craftsmen inside the factory at our HQ in Narford, Norfolk. Like all of our contemporary garden offices, this Salthouse was delivered and assembled at our customer’s address by our expert installations team as part of the end-to-end service we offer.

Our customer primarily is going to use their building as a home office, but they also wanted to have room to turn their building into an entertainment space and playroom if required. For this reason, they opted to have a tailored size studio measuring 14 x 24ft. They also chose to have their building in a configuration with two sets of double doors. This is so they could have two separate entrances when the building is being used for a dual purpose.

One of the main distinguishing features of our Salthouse Studio is the fully glazed front elevation. This is to allow an abundance of light inside, which will give the building a natural and airy feel. The windows on our Salthouse are made using 4mm toughened safety glass and they are also double glazed to help maintain a comfortable temperature inside during winter months. This Salthouse also has two fanlight windows added, which are opening to help with air ventilation.

Our Salthouse comes with a pent roof and shiplap cladding as standard. The pent roof has been covered with heavy-duty roofing felt and the exterior timber has been painted in the colour Slate from our exterior paint system.

Internally, the building benefits from being fully lined and insulated, meaning our customer can use their building comfortably all throughout the year. They have also chosen to add an electric pack with heater at an additional cost to their insulated outdoor office in order to supply it with power, lighting and heating. To decorate, the walls have our Ivory painted matchboard lining and the floor has been laid with our engineered floorboards in the beautiful grey-toned shade of Copenhagen.
