12 x 14ft Hobby Room

This 12 x 14ft Hobby Room is one of our Langham Studios, installed for a customer wanting a garden building to home their model railway layout. They wanted a traditional-style building that was fully equipped for year-round use so that is why they opted for our Langham. It was designed and hand-made to order at our Norfolk factory using FSC® certified timber before being delivered and installed by our installation experts. Delivery and installation are included in the overall price of all our garden buildings as part of the end-to-end service we offer our customers.

Our Langham has a traditional apex roof with desk height windows included as part of its design, making it ideal for use as a hobby room. It is available as small as 1.8 x 2.4m and as large as 4.8 x 6.0m, with a range of sizes in between. We may also be able to make our Langham in a more tailor-made size for you on request. Our customer has opted for a 3.6 x 4.2m size, with grey slate effect tiles on the roof and four opening windows. As well as the two double and one triple set of desk height windows, our customer chose to have two Velux® windows in the roof, which will flood the interior with plenty of natural light. Our customer has also chosen to have guttering fitted. To finish the exterior of this building, the shiplap clad exterior has been painted in the colour Ash from our Exterior Paint System.

To enable the studio to be used all throughout the year, our Langham comes fully lined with natural matchboarding, insulated, and double glazed as standard. To adapt the Langham to our customer’s hobby room needs, they have opted to have an electric pack with heater installed, providing power, lighting, and additional warmth, and a heavy-duty floor, which will support the weight of our customer’s railway layout.
