10 x 17ft Garden Studio with Partition

This Salthouse Studio is 10 x 17ft (3.0 x 5.2m), and it has been installed in our customer’s garden to use as both an insulated garden room and a garden storage shed with the help of a partition to split the building into two sections.

The partitioned storage section is 3.0 x 1.2m with a solid joinery door accessible from the front of the building. The lining and insulation have been removed from this section since it will just be used to store garden tools and furniture inside.

The main section of the building is 3.0 x 4.0m, and it has fully glazed double doors and four windows to give it a modern feel, which will also allow plenty of natural light inside, and offer a good view of the garden when they are sat inside.

The pent roof has been covered in our heavy duty felt, and the paint colour the customer chose for their garden room is Pebble, a neutral grey colour from our opaque Exterior paint range.

Internally, there is full insulation and lining on the walls and ceiling, so along with the double glazing, this building is ideally suited to year-round use. The customer also chose to have an electric pack fitted, so they will definitely be able to make full use of their garden room all through the year.

The customer also opted for their lining to be painted in our internal Ivory, and they chose to have engineered flooring laid in the colour Shade Oak. The engineered flooring is laid on top of the floorboards with a layer of underlay in between the two, providing further insulating and sound absorbing benefits for the building.
