8 x 28ft Garden Shed

This 8 x 28ft garden shed is one of our Superior Sheds delivered and installed for a customer needing space to home their model railway. As all our buildings are made to order, our customer was able to choose the exact size they needed plus all of the interior and exterior design options they wanted to tailor the building to their needs and personal taste. The manufacturing plans for our customer’s dream model railway shed were created by our CAD engineers so that the skilled craftsmen inside our Norfolk factory could hand-craft the shed to order from FSC® certified timber. The Superior Shed was then delivered and installed at our customer’s address by our installations team. We include delivery and installation by our hardworking installations team in the price of all our wooden garden sheds to give you peace of mind that it is being installed by experts, while also ensuring it is installed to the high standards we pride ourselves on.

Our Superior Sheds are available in a wide range of standard and non-standard sizes so you can choose the size that is the best fit for your outdoor space and your needs. You can pick whether you have an apex shed or a pent roof shed, as well as the placement of your doors and windows. This customer opted for an apex roof shed that measures 8 x 28ft, with two double window sets and a single door in the side, and an additional double window set in the gable. To meet permitted development regulations, the roof pitch of this wooden garden shed has been lowered. The single door is framed, ledged and braced for extra strength, and all the window sets are made with toughened safety glass and contain one opening window each to aid with airflow internally. The roof is covered in cedar shingles and the smooth shiplap-clad exterior is painted in Lichen from our Exterior Paint System. As our customer will be storing items of value inside their timber shed, they have opted to have our security pack installed for additional peace of mind. The security pack consists of a fully steel-encased 7 lever lock that is anti-sawing, anti-picking, anti-prising, and anti-cropping, stainless steel bars mortised into the window frames during manufacture, and security screws in the door hinges that are impossible to unscrew.

Internally, our Superior Sheds come unlined as standard, but as our customer wanted a year-round use space, this large garden shed benefits from being fully insulated and lined. The walls and ceiling are lined with oak-faced ply lining that is robust enough to handle any shelving or hooks you want to put up yourself after installation. The oak facing also gives a warm finish to this insulated garden shed. Our customer also chose to have electrics and a heater installed too, supplying their model railway shed with power, lighting, and additional warmth.
