Garden Rooms are versatile spaces that can be used for many different reasons. Whether you require a relaxation space, garden office, entertainment space, alfresco dining area, garden gym or extended living space, the possibilities are endless, but have you thought about using it for multiple purposes at the same time?
Having a garden room installed for dual or multi-purpose is easier than you think. Whether it is something you are considering during the design stage or you are thinking about how best to use the space after your garden room installation, we are on hand to offer advice on creating a multi-purpose garden room.
The best way of creating a multi-purpose garden room is by adding a single partition to create two separate smaller spaces within the same garden room, or with multiple partitioned walls to create rooms inside your garden room. As every one of our garden rooms is hand-crafted to order, your partitioned room(s) can be as big or as small as you require as the design is tailored to you.
You can have access to each section via an external door to keep them separate, or if you’re going to be needing frequent access between the two, you can add an internal door for ease of movement. You can have a gym and an office combined or a dedicated space for your hobby with a separate entertainment space for the whole family to enjoy.
If you are looking for a garden room and shed combined, you might want to consider our Salthouse Studio with an external partition. This building configuration is a popular choice with customers looking for both a living and storage space. The Salthouse is fully insulated and lined as standard, offering you a year-round use space that you can turn into a home office space, garden gym or hobby room, while the smaller partitioned area can be used for general garden storage or for storing equipment for your hobby or job.
For those wanting additional rooms inside their garden building, you will require multiple partitions. You may want to have additional rooms installed inside a garden office to give you a private meeting space for clients and a washroom so you can nip and use the facilities during your working day.
For example, one of our customers created a garden hair salon inside their Burnham Studio, with multiple partitions to create a small kitchenette and toilet room.
You can even have a building with multiple internal partitions and an external partition to create the separate spaces you require. Our signature Garden Room would be a great choice if you are looking for a building like this. You can use it as a pool room to give you an area to relax after a refreshing swim, with an additional changing room to give you privacy.
You can then have a garden room with side shed by adding an external partition to store your pool pumps and any chemicals.
If you would prefer not to add a partition to the design of your building, or your garden room has already been installed without one, you can easily create separation with the placement of your furniture.
Not only is this a cost-effective way of creating a multi-purpose garden room, but it also means you do not have a permanent division of space as you can easily move items of furniture out of the way to open up your space as required.
We have many different styles for you to choose from In our garden rooms collection, so your new garden room can meet your needs both practically and stylistically. Our Garden Rooms can be customised to your tastes with our wide range of exterior and interior design options.
