At Crane Garden Buildings we strive to source materials of the highest quality for all our buildings. It is of the utmost importance to us that we maintain the standards we pride ourselves on, so every new material sourced must go through a rigorous testing process to make sure it is fit for purpose. With that in mind, we have recently introduced a new roofing material to a selection of our pent roof garden buildings in the form of EPDM rubber roofing.
EPDM is a rubber-based roof covering that is very tough with a high puncture resistance. This resilient material is extremely durable, but it is still flexible enough to allow for the seasonal movement found on timber structures, ensuring it will not crack from extreme moisture and dryness. The material is UV and ozone resistant so it will not tear or split, and it has been manufactured with longevity in mind.
EPDM is manufactured in one piece and glued to the roof, meaning there will be no joins, highly reducing the risk of leakage.
We will be offering an EPDM roof on a selection of our pent roof garden buildings. If you choose our Salthouse Studio, Holt Studio, or our Thornham Summerhouse, you can choose to upgrade your roofing option to EPDM from the standard heavy-duty felt.
If you would like to find out more information about our new EPDM roofing, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us by emailing sales@cranegardenbuildings.co.uk, or by calling 01760 444229. Our friendly advisors will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have and will be able to use their knowledge and expertise to recommend you the best roofing material for your needs.
