Cley Summerhouse In Haywards Heath

A traditional garden room summerhouse with an elegant hipped roof and georgian windows. it is clad with smooth shiplap and the roof is covered with cedar shingles.

This Cley Summerhouse has recently been installed in our customer’s garden in Tywford, Haywards Heath, not too far from Brighton. It was designed and hand-made to order inside our factory at our HQ in Narford Norfolk by our expert craftsmen and women, before being delivered and installed at our customer's address by our in-house fitting team, who ensure that are buildings are installed to the high standards we pride ourselves on. Like all of our garden buildings, delivery and installation was included as part of the service we offer.

This summerhouse is 2.4 x 4.2m in size, so it is big enough to create a very comfortable living space inside. There is a set of double doors on the front, with a window on either side, and a set of two windows are on both of the gable ends of the summerhouse. The glass in all the windows (even in the doors), are all made using 4mm toughened safety glass, they're Georgian in style, and they have all got double glazing. The hipped roof has been covered in cedar shingles; the terracotta colour goes very well with the colour of the building, which has been painted in Verdigris, an earthy blue-green shade from our exterior paint system. To give the building a smooth finish, the exterior has been made by using our shiplap cladding, machined from FSC® certified Scandinavian Redwood.

As our customer wanted to be able to use their building all year round, they have opted to have natural matchboard lining on the walls, with insulation in the ceiling, walls and floor. This will ensure that the building maintains a comfortable temperature inside, even during the winter months. Our customer has also chosen to have an electrical pack installed into their building as an additional extra so their summerhouse can be supplied with power and lighting.
