Blakeney Summerhouse in Warwick, Warwickshire

3.0 x 5.4m Blakeney Summerhouse with storage partition painted in Lizard from our exterior paint system

This beautiful Summerhouse was installed for a customer in Warwick, Warwickshire, who wanted a building they could use as a pool house and relaxation room. They opted for one of our Blakeney Summerhouses with a partition installed at the back, as they also required room for storage. After they had sat down with our team at our Burford Show Site to work out what they wanted from their building, it was then over to our CAD engineers to design the building to order. As with all of our garden buildings, the Blakeney was hand-crafted onsite at our HQ in Narford by the highly skilled craftsmen we employ in our factory, before being delivered and installed at our customer’s address by members of our expert installations team.

From 2.4 x 1.8m to 4.8 x 6.0m, our Blakeney Summerhouses are available in a wide range of standard sizes. The overall size of this customer’s building is 3.0 x 5.4m, with the main part measuring 3.0 x 3.0m and the storage section measuring 3.0 x 2.4m. The whole of the exterior of this summerhouse is clad using our FSC® certified shiplap style cladding, which is designed to give it a smooth finish. Our customer has chosen to have their building painted in Lizard, which is a green-toned shade from our exterior paint system. Our exterior paint system is weather resistant, fully opaque and applied in four coats to give a high-quality finish.

This Blakeney Summerhouse has been designed with a charming overhanging apex roof and our summerhouse-style doors and windows. Our customer has chosen to cover the roof with cedar shingles and the glass used in the doors and windows is leaded in style.

As our customer wanted to ensure they could use the main part of their building to relax in all year round, they have opted to have it fully lined and insulated, with double glazing and an electric pack with heater installed too. The matchboard lining on the walls has been painted in the colour Lime White from the Farrow & Ball paint system and the door and window furniture is made from polished brass. The partitioned section has no lining or insulation as it is going to be used for storage only.
