Since this is just going to be for storage, the customer didn’t want any windows in the building. This will serve two purposes: firstly, no windows will mean that nobody can see inside, and secondly, this will mean that they will be able to make full use of the wall space for storage shelves.
This is a very natural-looking shed, with its unobtrusive pent roof, weatherboard cladding for a natural rustic look, and the shed has been painted in the colour Walnut from our Sikkens paint system. Sikkens is a translucent stain that allows the grain of the timber to still be visible underneath it, while still offering long-lasting protection to the building.
Other extra features the customer asked for include black guttering along the back wall to help catch excess rainfall that runs off the roof, a security pack consisting of a seven lever lock and heavy-duty sliding bolt, and security screws for the door hinges (if this shed were to have windows, there would also be stainless steel window bars included in this pack), and internally, the customer opted for a heavy-duty floor, which is ex 38mm thick instead of the standard ex 19mm thick, to help carry the weight of all the heavy equipment inside the shed.
This is just one example of the many ways you can configure our Superior Sheds: as well as choosing either a pent or apex roof, there are also a whole range of sizes and features to choose from, both stylistic and practical.
