The customer was drawn to the National Trust range because of its classic styling, which they felt was perfect for their garden.
The Oxburgh Shed has a pent roof and it has been designed with a single door and a set of Georgian-style windows, made using toughened glass, in the side. To help give it the building its more traditional look, it has black corrugated sheeting on the roof and cast iron door furniture with a mortice lock. It also has vertically sawn boards for the external cladding that have been roughly cut to give the building a more rustic finish.
This particular Oxburgh Shed is the smallest size we make, measuring at 1.8 x 2.4m (6 x8ft), but we also make them in sizes 1.8 x 3.0m (6 x 10ft) and 2.4 x 3.0m (8 x 10ft).
Our customer has opted to have the exterior of their building painted in the colour Terrace Green, chosen from the six-shade range of colours available from the National Trust paint palette. Terrace Green is a dark green, yet natural colour, which our customer picked as they wanted their shed to blend in with green shrubs and plants that surround it.
All of our buildings are handmade in our Norfolk based factory from FSC® certified Scandinavian Redwood. Scots Pine is grown in Northern Sweden at latitudes above 650o north, meaning that the timber will be denser, stronger and less prone to dead knots.
