Blakeney Summerhouse with Electrics and Insulation

An attractive timber garden building with apex roof and double doors. A chalet style summerhouse with smooth shiplap cladding and a natural pine interior.

This small, but very attractive garden building is our Blakeney Summerhouse, and it has been installed at the bottom corner of our customer’s garden, surrounded by lovely trees, bushes, and flowering plants, in Romsey, Hampshire to use as a little art room.

The idea with this 2.4 x 1.8m Blakeney is to set up an easel, a chair and the customer’s paint equipment, so they can sit inside, and work on their paintings while being surrounded by their beautiful garden.

The customer will be able to use their painting room all through the year, because she opted to have an electrical pack installed, as well as natural matchboard lining on the walls, and insulation in the walls and ceiling, making this a very comfortable space for the customer to work in.

To make the summerhouse fit in well with the pretty garden surroundings, the customer chose to have natural cedar shingle tiles on the roof, shiplap cladding, and the paint colour the customer chose is Lizard, which is a natural green colour from our exterior paint system.

With fully glazed doors and four sets of windows, plenty of natural light will brighten up the inside, and will give the customer a great view of their garden.
