Our installations team have installed this lovely-looking garden studio for a couple based in Upminster, Essex. This studio is one of our Langham Studios with a partition and it has been designed with a dual purpose in mind, with one section of it an Art Studio and the other half as a workshop. As all of our buildings are designed to order by our CAD engineers, we were able to create a tailor-made building that meets the requirements of both of our customers. It was hand-crafted from FSC® certified timber by skilled craftsmen inside our factory at our HQ in Narford, Norfolk before being delivered and assembled at our customer’s address by our expert installers.

Our Langham Studios are available in a range of standard sizes from a small 1.8 x 2.4m to a large 4.8 x 6.0m. We know that not everyone will require a standard size for their garden so that is why we offer the option of having a more tailored size for your building, on request. Our customer’s building is one of our customisable sizes with it measuring 3.0 x 6.6m. This Langham has an apex roof covered in cedar shingle tiles and a shiplap clad exterior painted in the Exterior Paint System colour of Sage. There are a set of half-glazed studio double doors at both ends of this building and three double glazed, desk-height, double window sets in the side of the building, featuring one opening window each. There are also two Velux® windows fitted in the roof. Guttering has been installed which will collect water run-off from the roof and deposit it away from the Studio, protecting the bottom boards.

The Langham Studio comes fully lined and insulated as standard, but as our customer did not require this for the workshop section, we have made this part of the studio unlined. The Art Studio section has Ivory painted matchboard on the walls and our Shade Oak engineered boards laid on the floor. The engineered floorboards sit on top of the existing floorboards, with a layer of underlay in between the two, providing insulating and sound-absorbing benefits. In the workshop partitioned section, one of our solid and sturdy oak-faced plywood workbenches has been installed, providing our customer with space to work. An electric pack with heater has also been fitted to supply the buildings with power, lighting and heating.
