This interesting hybrid building was recently hand-made to order at our Norfolk factory for a customer based in Worsley, Manchester, who wanted a sophisticated and attractive work-from-home office. Measuring 2.4 x 6.0m, this Salthouse Studio was delivered and assembled at the customer’s address by our in-house installations team.

With a distinctive pent roof and smooth shiplap cladding painted in black giving a modern feel, the building is a contemporary garden studio ideal for those seeking a sleek garden office from which to work. The customer worked with our in-house designers to achieve the ideal look they wanted, which involved swapping the fully-glazed windows that come as standard with our Salthouse for Binham windows, which are desk height and open to allow for ventilation. They have also swapped the door positioning from the length of the building to the gable. The sloping pent roof is covered with our heavy-duty, heat-bonded felt.

Internally, the garden pod is fully insulated with engineered flooring to further boost sound-absorption and insulation. The oak veneer atop the floorboards also adds to the aesthetic of the interior. As well as this, the customer also opted for painted pine lining to give a light and airy feel to the interior.
