This 10 x 14ft Garden Shed is one of our Superior Sheds, and it has been installed for our customers to use as a garden workshop all year round. Like all of our garden buildings, it was designed by our in-house CAD engineers and hand-made to order using FSC® Certified timber by the skilled craftsmen and women inside our factory at our HQ in Narford, Norfolk. It was then delivered to our customer’s address by our trustworthy installations team, who also assembled the building onsite to meet the high standards that we pride ourselves on. The delivery and installation of all our wooden garden buildings is included as part of our end-to-end service.
To allow our customers to have a building that is tailor-made to their needs, they can choose the size of the building they require as well as the placement of the doors and windows. This customer opted for a 3.0 x 4.2m Superior Shed in an apex roofed design, with a single door and two double window sets in the side, and three windows in the gable end. There is a total of eight windows on this building (including one in the door), four of which are opening to aid with internal ventilation. Guttering has also been added to this building to help collect rainwater and deposit it away from the timber.
The exterior cladding is shiplap in style, designed to give our buildings a smooth finish, which this customer has chosen to paint in a green shade called Lichen from our exterior paint system. Terracotta slate-effect tiles have been laid on the roof, which not only contrast nicely with the exterior paintwork, they also help to provide protection against UV rays, wind, and hail.
As our customer wanted to use their building all year round, they have chosen to have the walls, floor, and ceiling fully lined and insulated, and the windows double glazed. This will ensure that the building remains comfortable for use throughout the seasons. The building has been lined using Oak Faced Ply and our customer has also chosen to have our heavy-duty floorboards installed to help support the weight of a workbench and other equipment.
