It had always been our customer's dream to have a dedicated hobby room where they could enjoy aircraft scale modelling, which is why they chose to have one of our Superior Sheds installed.
When considering having a hobby room installed, you will need to think about the overall size of the building your garden can accommodate, the roof style you would like, and the specific requirements you need in order for you to be able to partake in your hobby. Our customer opted for a 1.8 x 2.4m Superior Shed, made in an apex roof design. Inside, they have had two of our oak faced plywood workbenches fitted in an L-shape, giving our customer plenty of room to work on their scale aircraft models, and electrics have been installed too to supply the scale model shed with power and lighting. Opening windows were also an important feature for our customer to ensure plenty of fresh air could circulate inside when operating their airbrush.
As our customer wanted to spend many hours modelling inside their shed, it was important to them that the shed was suitable for use throughout the year. With this in mind, this Superior Shed has double glazed windows and full internal lining and insulation. We use oak faced ply lining to line the walls and ceiling of our Superior Sheds, which gives a warm finish. It is also robust enough to handle any shelving or hooks you may want to fit retrospectively after we have installed your shed.
Aesthetically, the exterior of this Superior Shed is clad with smooth shiplap cladding, which has been painted in Sage from our Exterior Paint System. The roof is covered in grey slate effect tiles and the windows are Georgian in style.
Other features chosen by our customer include guttering, which will help to protect the bottom boards by depositing rainwater runoff from the roof away from the shed, and our security pack for additional peace of mind that their aircraft scale model collection is safely secured. Our security pack consists of a fully steel-encased 7 lever lock that is anti-sawing, anti-picking, anti-cropping, and anti-prising, security screws on the door hinges that are impossible to unscrew, and 13mm stainless steel bars that are mortised into the window frame during manufacture.
All our garden buildings are hand-made to order so we can tailor your hobby room to your requirements. Our buildings vary in shape and style, whether you require a small and simple garden shed or a large fully lined and insulated garden studio. They can be made in a variety of different sizes and they can be personalised with our range of exterior and interior design options in order to create your dream building.
