National Manufacturing Day 2023

Crane Garden Buildings is a family-run Norfolk-based business that has been hand crafting timber garden buildings for almost 50 years. Each building is manufactured to order in our Norfolk workshop by our skilled craftsmen. Through showing our support to National Manufacturing Day we hope to attract new talent that will ensure the longevity of our business and the quality of our products for years to come.  

What is National Manufacturing Day? 

Organised by the manufacturers’ organisation Make UK, it is a nationally recognised day that celebrates modern manufacturing in the UK and its benefits to local communities. Manufacturers across the UK will be opening their workshop and factory doors to allow interested members of the public a glimpse at what skills it takes to produce goods and the employment opportunities within the manufacturing industry.   

How we got involved.

We will be showing our guests the technology we use and the high level of skilled craftsmanship that goes into producing timber garden buildings of exceptional quality, that precedes our excellent reputation in the market. This year, like many other workshops, we will be giving a guided tour through our production line, demonstrations of some of the equipment we use, as well as setting some practical tasks for our guests which are craftsman carry out in the production of our garden buildings.
