The shed has got a pent roof that slopes towards the back, and there is black guttering on the back wall to catch any rainwater that runs off the roof. The shed is 1.8 x 3.0m in size; there are double doors with windows in the front side, two windows in the left gable end and one more window in the back wall to allow plenty of light into the building.
There is heavy duty felt on the roof, which offers a thick, waterproof layer to protect the roof with, and the cladding is shiplap. The customer wanted to paint the shed themselves, so they just opted for our standard Light Oak preservative to help protect the timber until they are able to paint it.
A few weeks before we installed the building for the customer, our base team laid the concrete base; we have a dedicated base team who travel the country laying steel reinforced concrete bases for our customers. Our customers can arrange for a contractor to lay their base for them as well, but it must be flat and level, and it needs to be laid at least a week before the installation of the building to ensure it has completely set.
