The Blickling is different to the other National Trust Shed designs as it houses an open log store on one end, which measures 900mm wide, as well as a single door and a traditional set of windows.
Key external features of the National Trust Sheds include: corrugated sheeting lining the apex roof, the door furniture is cast iron, and the cladding is formed of vertical sawn boards.
The National Trust Buildings are made of the same FSC® Certified Timber that our own range of buildings is made from. This is Northern Scandinavian redwood, and it has been grown in very cold temperatures, meaning that it is slowly grown and a very dense timber, making it highly durable. This model has been designed using an outbuilding from the North Norfolk estate of Blickling Hall as inspiration.
The height of all of the National Trust buildings are below 2.5m, which means that they fall below the height for modern planning requirements and you won’t have to apply for planning permission unless you live in an area of Designated Land or a Listed Building.
