Superior Shed with Window in Door - Guisborough

This 2.4 x 3.0m heavy duty Superior Shed was installed in Guisborough, North Yorkshire, just outside the North Yorkshire Dales, for a customer who was in need of a space where they could work on DIY projects. As with all of our buildings, it was designed in-house by our CAD engineers and then hand-made to order by the skilled craftsmen and women inside the factory based at our HQ in Narford, Norfolk.

With our Garden Shed range, our customers are able to choose what type of roof they would like, and the placement of the doors and windows so that we can tailor the building to their requirements as well as their individual style preferences. For this particular building, our customer has chosen an apex roof design with a single door with window in the front gable and a triple window set in the side.

To decorate the smooth shiplap cladding that makes up the exterior, our customer has chosen to treat the timber with a stain from our Sikkens paint system, which offers protection from the elements whilst allowing the natural grain of the wood to shine through. Internally, our customer has chosen to have a workbench fitted underneath the windows to provide them with space to work inside, as well as additional storage.

On this particular model, we are able to install a security pack as an additional extra to their building, which will add further protection to the customer's items inside. Our security pack consists of a 7 level lock that is anti-sawing, anti-picking, anti-cropping and anti-prising, impossible to unscrew security screws on the door hinges, and stainless steel bars mortised into the window frames.

As part of our inclusive installation process we added various joints to the building, allowing us to transport the building in smaller parts due to the limited access to this customer’s garden.
