The Cley has a hipped roof, and our customer has opted to have cedar shingle tiles on this to keep it protected with a layer of waterproof, natural, construction-grade cedar. The cedar shingles are designed to weather over time meaning that they will eventually turn naturally to a silver/grey colour.
There are windows in three out of the four sides of a Cley Summerhouse so that the inside has a light and airy feel inside. Double doors with a single Georgian window on each side make up the front of the summerhouse, and then there is a double set of opening, Georgian windows on each gable end to allow plenty of fresh air to circulate inside the summerhouse.
To complement the colour of the cedar shingle tiles, our customer has chosen to have their summerhouse painted in Verdigris, which is an earthy blue-green colour that will help the summerhouse blend in with the colours of our customer's garden. Verdigris is just one of the 15 colours that can be chosen from our exterior paint system, a high-quality paint system which is fully opaque and weather-resistant.
The exterior has been finished with our smooth shiplap cladding, made using FSC® certified timber that has been machined from Scandinavian Redwoods, grown close to the Arctic Circle in Northern Sweden.
Internally, the customer opted for natural matchboard lining, a Light Oak lacquer on the floor, double glazing and an electrical pack which can all be included with the package - along with an additional security pack.
