The workshop is 2.4 x 3.6m in size, with a single door in the front gable end, and four windows on the right-hand side, one of which opens to allow for a bit of ventilation when he’s working in there.
There is heavy duty felt on the roof, and Sikkens Teak paint has been used on the shiplap to give the building a bit of colour. Teak is a bright golden orange colour that fits well into the customer’s garden with the dark brown of the fence panels around it, and the pale grey/cream of the patio and shingles.
The customer opted for a security pack with this Superior Shed to keep his tools and projects safe. A security pack consists of a heavy duty bolt and seven lever lock, security screws for the door hinges and window bars. The security screws are impossible to unscrew due to the tops being domed, so screwdrivers and plyers can’t get purchase on them, and the window bars are 13mm thick stainless steel.
It is worth noting though that the customer requested not to have the window bars fitted on his shed, which is why they aren’t visible in the photo.
Inside the workshop, the customer wanted a workbench to work on, which stretches the length of the shed (3.6m) to give him ample working room.
The customer also requested to have a concrete base installed for his shed to sit upon. We have a dedicated base team who travel the country each week laying bases for our customers; we provide timber bases as well, but concrete bases need to be laid at least a week before the buildings are due to be installed, so they have time to set.
