Summerhouses in Canterbury, Kent

The Morston Summerhouse is a chalet-style summerhouse with the addition of a sheltered veranda where you can relax under shade in the summer months of the year. The Morston is available in many different sizes so you can pick the size that best suits your requirements as well as your outdoor space. With this in mind, our customer opted for a 2.4 x 3.6m garden summerhouse. It has a set of double doors and two fixed windows to the front of the building, with an additional top opening window placed on either side, which will aid with airflow inside the building. It has an apex style roof that has been covered in cedar shingles, which will naturally weather from their original terracotta colour to a silvery-grey colour over time. This garden summerhouse has been clad with smooth shiplap and painted in Slate from our Exterior Paint System, as our customer wanted one of our summerhouses delivered and installed with a painted finish.

The Morston Summerhouse is an unlined summerhouse as standard, making it perfect for use during the warmer months of the year. However, our customer wanted the option to be able to use their garden summerhouse during the rest of the year, so opted to have insulated and lining added to the internal walls and ceiling. They have chosen to have solid pine natural matchboard for the lining, which they have paired with dark oak engineered flooring. Not only does the engineered flooring add style to our customer’s summerhouse, but it also provides insulating and sound-absorbing benefits as its sits on top of the standard floorboards with a layer of underlay in between the two. The final optional extra our customer chose to add to their summerhouse design was our electric pack, allowing their summerhouse to be supplied with power and lighting.
