Summerhouses in Hitchin, Hertfordshire

The Holkham Summerhouse has a traditional design with an apex roof. It is available in plenty of sizes, with our customer opting for a 3.0 x 3.0m wooden summerhouse. The Holkham benefits from having plenty of glazing, giving it a light and airy feel inside. Our customer has opted for plain windows, with a single fixed set placed on either side of the glazed double doors in the front, and an additional double opening window set installed on either side of the summerhouse. The pitched roof of this wooden summerhouse is covered in heavy duty felt and the exterior is clad with shiplap, offering a smooth exterior finish. Our Holkham Summerhouse comes treated with a light oak preservative as standard, but as our customer wanted their summerhouse delivered and installed with a painted exterior, they upgraded to our Exterior Paint System finish. The colour they opted for was Ash, which is a dark-neutral shade that will stand out in any garden setting.

The Holkham is designed as a summer-use building with an unlined interior, but as our customer wanted a year-round use building, we have tailored the design to meet their requirements. Our customer has opted to add full insulation, lining and double glazing to ensure comfort inside their wooden summerhouse in every season. They also chose to have electrics installed so that their summerhouse could be supplied with power and lighting. Our customer has opted to have the walls and ceiling lined with solid pine natural matchboard, but for an alternative look, you may want to consider having painted matchboard lining and one of our engineered or lacquered flooring options.
