Lewes is also where our East Sussex show centre is located, so they didn’t have to travel far to see our buildings.
The Blakeney is a chalet-style summerhouse, reminiscent of the beach hut style, which a lot of our customers seem to like about this design. This Blakeney has got grey slate effect tiles on the apex roof, the external cladding is weatherboarding, and it has been painted in Valtti Sandstone, which is a nice, neutral colour, befitting of the customer’s garden.
There are fully glazed double doors and two single windows in the front gable, and a double set of windows on each side, with two opening windows in total, perfect for allowing a bit of fresh air inside.
Inside the summerhouse, the customer opted for painted matchboard lining on the walls, insulation in the walls and ceiling, and a Natural lacquer on the floor to give it a nice sheen and protect the timber.
If you’re looking for a chalet-style summerhouse, our Blakeney or Morston Summerhouses could be good options for you (the Morston is the same design as the Blakeney, but with the addition of a 1.2m deep veranda).
