2.4 x 4.8m Salthouse Studio in Farrow & Ball Off-Black with Black Guttering and a Pent Roof

This modern studio has been installed for a customer as a coastal retreat where they can get creative and work on their art. Our customer opted for one of our Salthouse Studios as they allow for plenty of natural light inside, which is ideal for when they are painting. Once the building and design features were selected, the manufacturing plans were then drawn by our in-house designers before the building was hand-built to order by skilled craftsmen inside our factory at Narford, Norfolk. This studio was then delivered and assembled at our customer’s seaside address by members of our expert installations team.

This Salthouse measures 2.4 x 4.8m (8 x 16ft) but as they come in over 25 different standard sizes, we are able to make your studio as small or as large as you need it. It comes with an overhanging pent roof and shiplap cladding, which are the standard options on a Salthouse. The roof is covered with heavy duty felt and lined with black guttering while the exterior cladding is painted in the colour Off-Black from the Farrow & Ball paint system. One of its main design features are the full length fully glazed panels that cover the front elevation, which allow maximum light inside as well as a contemporary feel. They also come with at least one fanlight window which is installed for ventilation purposes.

Internally, this building benefits from being fully lined with insulation in the walls, ceiling and floor which means it is comfortable for our customer to use throughout the year. The walls and ceiling are lined with natural matchboard and the floor has been treated with a natural lacquer, which will help protect the timber as well as give it a nice sheen.
