12 x 14ft Salthouse Studio with storage partition

This 12 x 14ft studio was recently designed for a customer who wanted a stylish and modern retreat from which they could enjoy the beauty of their garden. They wanted a building that allowed plenty of natural light inside, so they opted for our Salthouse Studio because of its floor-to-ceiling windows. Once the customer selected what style of building they wanted, our in-house CAD and factory teams designed and hand-crafted the building to order at our Narford factory in Norfolk before it was delivered and assembled by our expert installations team at the customer’s home.

Our Salthouse Studios are available in 25 different standard sizes, with this one measuring 12 x 14ft. They have a pent roof, which this customer has chosen to cover in our torched-on, heavy-duty roofing felt, a fully glazed front elevation that will give a light and airy feel inside, and an opening fanlight window in the back wall for ventilation. Like all of our garden buildings, our Salthouse Studios are timber clad, machined from very high-quality Scandinavian Redwood trees. Our Salthouse Studios have our shiplap cladding as standard but if you’re after a more rustic look you can opt for our weatherboard cladding. This customer wanted a smooth finish on their building, so they chose our shiplap cladding, painted in the colour Slate from our exterior paint system.

Internally, this Salthouse Studio is fully lined and has insulation in the walls, ceiling and flooring which makes the building comfortable for use throughout the year. The lining in this studio is made from our Natural matchboard to give a warm feel.

As the customer also wanted a building which could be used for storing their gardening tools and equipment, they opted to have a storage partition added to their Salthouse, which is accessed via an external timber door and has our heavy duty flooring that is designed for storing particularly heavy items.
