This 8 x 14ft garden shed was installed for a customer who was looking for a practical solution for their workshop needs. Our customer opted for one of our Superior Sheds from our vast garden building range as they wanted a building that could be tailored to suit their requirements as well as their design tastes. Once our customer had chosen what style of building and all of the optional extras they wanted, our in-house design and factory teams set to work to hand-make the building to order at our HQ in Narford, Norfolk before the building was then delivered and assembled at the customer’s address by our installation experts.
From the very small to the very large, our Superior range of sheds are available in a wide range of standard sizes, with this one measuring 8 x 14ft (2.4 x 4.2m). On our Superiors, you can choose what style of roof you would like as well as the placement of your doors and windows; this customer has opted for an apex roof design with a door and windows in the side. The roof has been covered in grey slate effect tiles and lined with black guttering, the single door has been made at our in-house joinery works and the two double window sets are double glazed and Georgian in style. The exterior of this Superior Shed has weatherboard cladding, designed to give the building a rustic look, that has been made using FSC® certified timber, machined from Scandinavian Redwood trees. It has also been treated with a Sikkens wood stain in the colour Walnut which will allow the grain to be seen through the stain as well as provide the timber with long-lasting protection.
One of the requirements our customer gave us was that they needed workspace inside their shed where they could work on DIY projects, so we have installed one of our 900mm tall and 600mm deep workbenches that are made from oak faced plywood for a solid, sturdy finish. To ensure this building meets local planning regulations, it has been designed with an internal height of 2.0m.
