Spotlight on the Holt Studio

If you are looking for a contemporary building to match your home or are looking to add a living space to your modern garden, you will like our Holt Studio.

We thought we would take you through all its distinguishing features and some of the different customisation options available. We will also offer some inspiration to show how you can transform this building to truly make it your own.

Modern Design

                                                        

 

Our Holt Studio is an ultra-modern building; it has a sleek pent roof design with slimline fascia boards and a smooth shiplap-clad exterior. It features a veranda to the front and side of the building, offering you both indoor and outdoor space to use. The roof and the veranda are connected by two external walls, which we have decided to call “Cheeks” as they nicely frame the building. Our Holt also features two walls of glazing, allowing plenty of natural light to flood the inside of the building while offering you unhindered views of your garden.

Multitude of Uses

Our Holt Studio can be used for many different purposes; a garden office, an extended living space, a hobby room, a gym, or just simply a space to relax and enjoy your garden from. You can add a desk and a cabinet to give you a work from home space complete with file storage, or a dedicated arts and crafts area with room to keep all your supplies. You could bring in a corner sofa and coffee table to create a space to enjoy with friends and family, or you could even have your Holt Studio as a peaceful Yoga retreat complete with mats on the floor, shelving for towels and an exercise ball - the options are endless!

If you would find it hard to pick just one use, you could have the building set up for different uses at the same time. In one half of the room, you could have your comfy relaxation area, while on the other side, you can install a desk for work or hobby purposes.

The Holt offers you an outside space to make the most of too, with a side veranda that can be extended up to 3.0m. Depending on the room you have available in your garden, the extended veranda could offer you extra space to decorate with pot plants and a small table and chairs, an outdoor lounge with room to put a comfortable sofa, or an alfresco dining area. It could even home your hot tub for the ultimate in relaxation!

Year-Round Use

No matter what you want to use your building for, the chances are you will want to use it in every season. You will not have to worry about the unpredictable British weather to enjoy the Holt as this Studio comes fully lined, insulated, and double glazed to ensure comfort throughout the year. 

                                                       

The walls are lined using solid pine lining, which you can choose to have natural or painted. In addition to our standard floorboards, you can further customise the interior by having either a lacquered floor or engineered flooring for even more comfort. We also offer the option of having an electric pack and heater installed so it can be supplied with power, lighting, and heat.

Different Customisation Options

The fun part of choosing any building is deciding what design options you would like to make it your own. It can be as simple as choosing your favourite colour combination to decorate, or as big as deciding whether you want a smaller or larger veranda.

There are many different colour combinations you can have on a Holt. You have the option of choosing two different paint colours to decorate the exterior, with the secondary colour highlighting the “Cheeks”.

There are also more colour choices to be made with the interior. If you opt to decorate with Farrow & Ball, you can choose to have the matchboard lining on the walls painted in one colour and the ceiling in another, meaning you could have a total of 4 different colours to complete the look of your Holt. You may also want to consider Ivory painted or natural walls paired with a natural ceiling for a simpler look.

As standard, our Holt Studios come with a veranda to the front and side, measuring either 0.6, 0.8, or 1.0m depending on the building's overall size. We also offer the option of having a larger side veranda for those of you who want more outside space to use. This sheltered veranda can be extended to either 1.8, 2.4, or 3.0m and would make an excellent relaxation area to enjoy five minutes peace or a social space where you can host friends and family.
