Positioned at the end of a patio with a vine-clad pergola, this stunning 3.2 x 4.4m Holt Studio was recently installed for a customer based in Hassocks, West Sussex. Chosen for use as a year-round entertainment space, this luxury garden studio will extend our customer's interior space and give their garden a whole new lease of life. Versatile and contemporary, the building boasts a bespoke design that was built by hand at our Norfolk HQ. Partnered with a Swedish timber mill, Crane Garden Buildings are proud to use sustainably grown, FSC© Certified Scandinavian Redwood, which is slow grown for a denser and more durable result.

The exterior of this modern studio is defined by its pent roof, generous veranda and sleek full-length windows. Our customers opted to cover the roof with our heavy-duty, torched-on roofing felt and to finish their garden room in an attractive two-tone effect using the opaque shades of Pebble and Ivory. The signature veranda is in the right-hand orientation so that it suits our customer's garden, with the double doors opening onto the patio area and the full-length windows positioned to admire the rest of the garden. As well as the full-length, fixed windows, the building also boasts two opening fanlights at the rear which have been modified to include opaque glass for ventilation and light without compromising privacy.

Inside, the studio is ready for year-round use. Double glazing and insulation ensure a comfortable ambient temperature, while the added electrical pack provides everything from lights and power to heating during the colder months. In terms of decor, the customer chose to have their internal matchboard lining painted in Ivory, with a lacquered floor in light oak. To finish off the building beautifully, they opted for polished chrome door and window furniture.
