The Wiveton is circular inside, creating a social space that allows you to create a pleasing seating area for entertaining, or an al fresco dining space. For the meantime though, this will just be used by the two of them, so they will have plenty of room inside to create a spacious yet cosy garden retreat to enjoy the summer months from.
The colours the customer chose for their new garden summerhouse allows the building to blend in nicely with its surroundings: cedar shingle tiles have been used on the roof for a natural, rustic feel, and they will eventually silver to become a similar colour to the neutral grey the customer chose for the exterior.
Double glazed Georgian windows add to the traditional feel of the building, and the paint colour the customer chose is a Farrow & Ball colour from their opaque exterior eggshell range: Manor House Gray, which blends in nicely with the patio slabs that surround the summerhouse.
Internally, the customer chose to have Ivory painted matchboard lining, with insulation in the walls and ceiling, an electric pack, and engineered flooring in the colour Shade Oak. These features will allow the customer to use their building throughout more than just the summer months if they wish.
Engineered flooring is laid on top of the floorboards with a layer of underlay in between to help improve the insulating and sound absorbing qualities of the building.
